It's Official – Matrix Team Member Will Simpson Headed to 2008
Olympics
This past week, the U.S. Equestrian Federation published the official list
of members for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Team and on that list is
Matrix Team member Will Simpson.
Simpson, who is busy training and competing in Europe with other team members
before the team heads to Hong Kong, where the equestrian portion of the Olympics
will be held from August 15-12, is based in Thousand Oaks, California. His
equine partner for the Olympics is El Campeon's Carlsson vom Dach, a 12-year-old
Holsteiner gelding owned by El Campeon Farm.
Joining Simpson on the Olympic Show Jumping Team are riders Beezie Madden
of New York, McLain Ward of New York and Laura Kraut of Florida. The alternate
rider who will travel with the team to Hong Kong is New Jersey resident Anne
Kursinski.
Simpson has been one of America’s most successful show jumpers for the
past two decades and the Matrix is proud to have him on its team. Said Matrix
Vice President Keith Manfred, "We have a number of fabulous riders and
trainers on the Matrix Team and we're glad that Will Simpson is one of them.
We wish him and the rest of the U.S. Show Jumping Team the best of luck in
Hong Kong."
