Dr. Marvin Hausman, MD, Leading Developer of the Mushroom Matrix, Invited to Speak at Sixteenth Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine and Regenerative Biomedical Technologies
Dr. Marvin Hausman, MD, will be speaking at the Sixteenth Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine and Regenerative Biomedical Technologies, scheduled to be held July 17-19 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
A noted medical researcher and surgeon, Dr. Hausman has spent much of his medical career searching for the answer to the question of how people can live longer, healthier lives. His search for that answer played a key role in the development of the Mushroom Matrix line of nutritional supplements. The Matrix is a complex natural formula composed of several of the most potent and beneficial medicinal mushroom species.
Much of Dr. Hausman's recent research has focused on the role of nutrition in helping to slow the aging process. He has described the aging process as "two components - a positive component of growth and development and a negative component of decline of bodily function associated with any number of chronic or fatal diseases. Scientifically, aging is a process in which prooxidant/pro-inflammatory and antioxidant/anti-inflammatory forces oppose each other in battle on a daily basis. The aging forces are composed of free radicals (reactive oxygen species) - unhealthy diet, lifestyle, stress, environmental pollution, etc. The anti-aging forces include boosting the immune system, longevity genes, DNA repair, wellness, social well-being, exercise, good nutrition, etc."
Dr. Hausman argues that aging occurs when the body is unable to neutralize the pro-aging, free radical forces. To remain healthy and avoid early aging, the body must be able to maintain a state of balance between the prooxidant/pro-inflammatory and antioxidant/anti-inflammatory forces. His presentation at the World Congress on Anti-Aging will focus on the ways that the human body can maintain this balance.
Dr. Hausman's life-long work has been driven by his belief that it ought to be possible for the vast majority of people to live past the age of 100 and still be healthy at that age with the bodily functions and mental acuity of younger person. He believes that nutrition is one of the keys to achieving this longevity and it is that belief which resulted in the development of the Matrix.
The Matrix consists of organically-grown medicinal mushroom species that research indicates are potent sources of bioactive nutrients and antioxidants. Unlike synthetic and/or extracted nutrients found in many other supplements or food sources, those in mushrooms are easily absorbed and used by the body to counter the prooxidant/pro-inflammatory forces that can lead to early aging, illness and disease.
As Dr. Hausman notes, among the many nutrients in mushrooms is L-Ergothioneine (ERGO), an antioxidant far more powerful than other substances such as beta-carotene and vitamins C and E.
